Quote of the Day

Mercifully, the Creator who is the Redeemer intends, at the Second Coming, to remove the pervasive evil in our mixed efforts at building civilizations. God plans to take the glory of the nations into the new city. The story that starts in the garden ends in a city with God reweaving the tangled strands that we have wrought in vain, transforming our feeble efforts into glorious cultures that sing the Creator’s praise.

Mick Porter and Steve Wilson have just completed production of a DVD-based curriculum entitled “A Question of Mercy – Gospel Application to Issues of Justice and Mercy”.

The DVD curriculum has been deliberately developed to enable small groups to work through a variety of issues around the themes of justice and mercy, always working from the centrality of Jesus Christ. It is intended for use over six weeks, and each part contains a variety of content including teaching, interviews with people who are involved in various aspects of “mercy ministries”, and other multimedia content. The parts each conclude with a set of questions designed to encourage open discussion around the particular topic, and a free study guide is available for download.
